New infrastructure transforms Holešov industrial zone into modern business center

The strategic industrial zone Holešov is undergoing extensive modernization. The Zlín Region is investing significantly in the construction of transport, technical and green infrastructure, which is important for the future functioning of companies and the comfort of employees and residents in the region.
Attractive and sustainable business environment
“New roads, sidewalks, cycle paths, public lighting, furniture and extensive planting of greenery are gradually transforming the area into an attractive, sustainable and modern business center. A location is being created that combines the technical readiness of the area with a high-quality and friendly environment for employees and the local community,” says Mojmír Novák, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ZRIA.
The cycle path will connect key parts of the zone
One of the important elements is the new cycle path, which will connect Všetulská Street in the western part of the zone and will lead to the roundabout intersection of Holešovská and Martinická Streets. The route will continue north to Tovární Street. This more than three-kilometer section will enable a comfortable, safe and ecological connection between the individual parts of the complex and will lead to an increase in the level of facilities for employees and residents.
“The fundamental modernization of the Holešov zone is a significant step in our efforts to support the business environment in the Zlín Region. The new infrastructure will improve working conditions, increase the attractiveness of the zone and at the same time contribute to environmental sustainability,” said David Vychytil, Deputy Governor of the Zlín Region for Finance, Property and Business Development.
Supporting the business environment and sustainability
The plan is part of the region’s broader strategy focused on sustainable mobility. The new cycle route will offer residents of the city and its surroundings a safe and ecological way of transportation to work, school or services. It will also contribute to reducing emissions and improving air quality. The modernization also includes new green areas, biocorridors and biocenters. More than 1,400 trees will be planted. These natural elements will contribute to rainwater retention, better water management and increased ecological stability of the area.
Project “Construction 11” – the largest stage of modernization
The project called “Construction 11” was launched in January 2025 and is one of the most important stages of modernization of the Holešov zone. Total costs will reach up to 254 million crowns excluding VAT. Completion of the work is planned for May 2026. As part of this project, the technical infrastructure is being expanded, including water supply, sewage, gas pipeline, high-voltage electrical distribution, as well as communication distribution and installation of new public lighting.
“Our goal is to create a long-term sustainable and competitive space that will be interesting for both investors and the people who will work here,” adds Mojmír Novák. ZRIA participates in the project as the coordinator of the strategic development of the zone, ensures communication with investors and fulfills the long-term strategy of transforming the area into a modern and competitive business center.
"We place great emphasis on ensuring that the zone is not only technically prepared, but also friendly to both companies and people. This is a fundamental advantage in today's competition for investors," added Tomáš Chmela, Deputy Governor for Strategic Development and Subsidies.
