The Holešov Strategic Industrial Zone is currently attracting considerable interest from potential investors. It offers them plenty of very lucrative areas - they are ideal not only for expansion, but also for building completely new production capacities for companies not only in the Zlín Region, but also in the whole Czech Republic. However, in order to make this development as efficient and "unified" as possible within the zone, it is governed by a few basic requirements that must be kept in mind before construction begins.

Which businesses can be part of the zone is subject to the rules of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. It can accommodate companies with a focus on the manufacturing industry, strategic services, or technology centres, companies with a focus on science and research and others, the breakdown of which is given by the Classification of Economic Activities (CZ-NACE). That was designed to take into account both structural changes in the economy and the country's technological development. Exceptions to occupying the zone are companies engaged in the primary processing of raw materials, heavy engineering, the chemical industry, etc.

"By not allowing companies whose main business activity is the primary processing of raw materials and heavy industry into the zone, we can easily achieve protection of the environment and groundwater, which is so important for the whole City of Holešov," said Ing. Mgr. Lucie Pluhařová, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Other parameters of the construction include the following:

- the height of buildings may be no more than 16 metres, and in the case of a detached building no more than 30 metres;

- the maximum built-up area may be 60%;

- companies must ensure that a minimum of 20% green space is provided.

All new constructions meet the requirements of the current development concept, which bears the working title "Friendly Zone", thanks to which the created urban study of the Holešov Strategic Industrial Zone is complied with.
